The redevelopment of the Pronto Trading Estate develops the concept of sustainable 21st Century urban living on an under utilized brownfield site on the Uxbridge Road, Hayes.
This mixed use scheme will provide circa 700m2 of high quality flexible B1(c) Light Industrial floorspace and 43 one & two bed contemporary apartments with associated balconies, roof terraces, car parking and communal amenity spaces.
The proposed site layout provides a series of high quality and pedestrian friendly landscaped spaces which embrace the ‘Home Zone’ concept.
The proposed redevelopment will meet best practice sustainability objectives and has been designed to meet at least Level 3 of the Code for Sustainable Homes. The scheme will also provide more than 20% of its energy needs through renewable sources with a range of technologies (including solar water heating, PV, ground and air source heat pumps) currently being considered.
The scheme was granted planning permission in March 2009.
