Client: Breithorn Properties
Status: Completed
JSA Planning secured planning permission on behalf of our client, overseeing the project from discharge of conditions, working drawings, project management, through to delivery. The project was based in Chinnor a small village in Oxfordshire, having direct access to the M40 .
The land, which consisted of a large two storey detached office building (Use Class B1) with ancillary workshop and an associated yard/parking area, set within a substantial plot now holds three pairs of semi-detached dwellings that provide beautifully constructed 6 x 3-bed units. The site generated up to 80 trip’s a day in vehicular movements, as a previous civil engineering yard, this also included up to 40 artic deliveries. JSA considered that residential use on the site would be more commensurate with the neighbouring amenity and resulted in a design and layout that made more efficient use of an existing site to provide new and flexible residential development whilst preserving and enhancing the character of the wider area.
The modern dwellings have been built using a varied mix of materials including brick, render and flint. The homes are closely constructed giving a close-knit community-like feel to the occupants. Within walking distance, there are a mix of local shops and facilities that can be accessed by residents with great ease.
