A 27.3 hectare brownfield site, formally occupied by Brunel University. The proposed mixed use redevelopment scheme incorporates private and affordable housing, residential institution, student accommodation and commercial units.

JSA were appointed to prepare a masterplan and design the new student accommodation towards the eastern edge of the development. The proposals consisted of 530 study bedrooms set within 8 linking blocks of two to four storeys in height. Clusters of six to eight bedrooms, all with ensuite facilities were arranged around one shared kitchen to create a sense of community.

The proposals had been designed to be sympathetic to the essence of the existing Victorian gothic buildings whilst introducing a series of new collegiate quadrangle spaces.
